Years before entering the adult industry Blake Lovely found her success in music, playing guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals and wrote her own songs. Back in her hometown of Virginia, she played at all of the local bars and clubs and when she exhausted those venues her band Animal Sun performed at frat houses and then threw house parties once a month and that is what paid her rent. In 2016 Animal Sun began touring the country, opening up for big, well-known bands until she won “Pop Star if the Year” for the Hollywood Independent Music Awards, and her song, “Can You Hear the Thunder,” a song inspired by a night at a strip club where she learned the true power of beauty and femininity, won “Pop Song of the Year.”
“This nomination means the world to me because I was a musician before I was a porn star,” says Blake. “Music is my first love; porn is a very close second and combining the two in this way is so beautiful and special. Winning this award would be the ultimate praise for me so I ask my dear fans to please vote daily.”
