Dr. Susan Block of the Dr. Susan Block Institute is this week’s guest on Adult Site Broker Talk.
Susan Marilyn Block, Ph.D., known professionally as “Dr. Suzy,” has built a career as a sexologist, therapist, author, and commentator spanning more than four decades. A Yale graduate, she has hosted The Dr. Susan Block Show and its related programs for over 45 years while gaining international attention through HBO productions that explored sexuality, love, pleasure, relationships, awareness, and human interaction.
The Susan Block Institute was founded by Dr. Suzy in 1991 to assist individuals in improving communication, relationships, sexuality, conflict resolution, and personal freedom through counseling and educational outreach.
The Institute provides counseling and sex therapy services for individuals and couples interested in addressing concerns related to intimacy, relationships, pleasure, and personal development.
Alongside its counseling work, the organization has produced educational and entertainment programming for radio, television, and digital audiences. These productions include The Dr. Susan Block Show, Radio Sex TV with Dr. Susan Block on HBO, FDR Radio, Bedside Chats, Sex Calls, Real Calls, Travels with Max, and Dr. Suzy’s Speakeasy. Many of these projects were developed with the participation of Dr. Block’s late husband, Maximillian Lobkowicz.
The Institute’s publishing efforts include books such as The Bonobo Way: The Evolution of Peace through Pleasure, The 10 Commandments of Pleasure: Erotic Keys to a Healthy, Sexual Life, and Advertising for Love: How to Play the Personals. Dr. Block has also appeared at universities, conferences, and cultural forums internationally. The organization’s broader media output includes magazines, interviews, articles, photography, music, artwork, videos, audio recordings, and online content covering a diverse range of social and cultural topics.
