About Dominic Acerra
Dominic Acerra has been a respected force in entertainment journalism for more than 35 years. Throughout his distinguished career, he has covered virtually every facet of the entertainment industry, building a reputation as one of its most experienced editorial journalists, photojournalists, and content creators.
Acerra began his editorial career in the 1980s with extensive feature coverage and multiple cover stories for Video Xcitement. He later joined the staff of AVN (Adult Video News) as a featured writer and photojournalist and contributed to the industry trade publication XBIZ for more than a decade.
His work has appeared in virtually every major men’s publication worldwide, including Hustler, Penthouse, Playboy, Chic, Club, Club International, High Society, Cheri, and Swank, among many others. Internationally, his articles and photography have been published in Japan, France, Spain, Germany, Mexico, and other European markets, including Hot Video and Dick Magazine.
Beyond feature journalism, Acerra has authored numerous editorial columns, ghostwritten for many of the industry’s biggest stars, and penned scripts for two feature films directed by the legendary John Leslie. He also spent more than 13 years touring North America as an assistant and media representative alongside many of the industry’s most recognizable personalities, including Jenna Jameson, Blondage, Janine, Jasmine St. Claire, Tabitha Stevens, Blake Blossom, and countless others.
Never content to limit himself to print journalism, Acerra expanded into documentary filmmaking. His first documentary, “Being Paulina”, was officially showcased at the XBIZ Film Festival, further demonstrating his ability to tell compelling stories across multiple media platforms.
In 1994, he stepped behind the camera, launching an equally successful production career. Since then, he has produced, directed, filmed, and edited more than 5,000 scenes, along with promotional videos, trailers, sizzle reels, behind-the-scenes features, social media content, and branded marketing campaigns for some of the industry’s leading companies and performers.
In recognition of his decades of contributions to the industry, Acerra received the Carnal Medal of Honor from the Legends of Erotica Hall of Fame in 2010.
Today, Dominic Acerra continues to expand his creative portfolio. His YouTube channel has garnered more than 5 million views, and his work and expertise have been featured in numerous television programs, documentaries, and other media productions, cementing his legacy as one of the entertainment industry’s most accomplished journalists, filmmakers, and multimedia storytellers.
