Chicago – Vanniall’s Boi Hunter is slated to screen at L’Araignée Festival, bringing her work to the queer summer camp’s “Ni vu ni cul nu” program in Toutry, France August 3-9.
The film will be presented as part of one of the festival’s three themed screening selections, with “Ni vu ni cul nu” exploring queer sexualities, sensuality and porn cinema. The placement gives Boi Hunter a pointed festival context built around desire, identity and the ways queer erotic work moves through art, performance and community spaces.
“Boi Hunter belongs in a space that understands queer sex on screen as playful, intentional and culturally specific,” said Vanniall. “I love that L’Araignée is presenting it in a program centered on queer sexuality, sensuality and porn cinema because that gives the film room to be understood on its own terms – as something horny, funny, personal and part of a much larger conversation.”
