Chicago – With his signature cowboy hat, boots, and unmistakable belt buckle, Mike Dickinson looks like he stepped straight out of a Taylor Sheridan series. Behind the Western style is an executive quietly reshaping the future of the adult entertainment industry by investing in people, developing leaders, and creating opportunities where few previously existed.

Known equally for his cowboy persona and his willingness to publicly defend entertainers, Dickinson has become one of the industry’s most recognizable voices.

Fresh off an appearance on Shawn Kelly’s Digital Social Hour, reaching more than 12 million viewers, Dickinson’s national profile continues to grow.

That momentum continued this year as three clubs under his leadership earned 2026 ED Award nominations:

  • Admiral Theatre (Chicago) – Overall Club of the Year
  • Mouse’s Ear Johnson City – Overall Small Club of the Year
  • Cheyenne Gentlemen’s Club – Central Region Club of the Year

The recognition follows Dickinson’s 2025 ED Magazine Progressive Leader of the Yearaward, honoring his leadership and innovative approach to growing both brands and people.

“I’m just trying to build the Pony brand while elevating everyone around me,” Dickinson said. “When the people around you succeed, everybody wins.”

Despite the growing recognition, Dickinson is quick to credit the man who first believed in him.

“I owe it all to my mentor, Jerry Westlund—the Pony Boss,” Dickinson said. “He gave me a chance when nobody else would, and I just want to continue making him proud and pay it forward.”

Building Leaders, Not Just Brands

In an industry often criticized for tearing women down, Dickinson has earned a reputation for building women up.

Several of the company’s most successful clubs are now led by female managers, reflecting Dickinson’s belief that leadership should be earned through talent, character, and work ethic, not gender. His approach has created opportunities that many women say are rarely afforded within the adult entertainment industry.

That same philosophy extends to the feature circuit. Nationally recognized entertainers Ginger WTFA, Caitlin Baby, and Bunny Luvhave expanded their brands through feature bookings, national publicity, podcast appearances, and strategic marketing opportunities developed under Dickinson’s leadership.

Rather than viewing entertainers as temporary talent, Dickinson has built a reputation for helping performers create lasting careers and recognizable personal brands, an investment that benefits the entertainers, the clubs, and the industry as a whole.

Standing Up When It Matters

Dickinson’s leadership was on display during his recent appearance on Digital Social Hour, where he publicly defended adult entertainer Carmela Clutch after she was subjected to outdated stereotypes and personal attacks.

“It’s ridiculous when people try to blame women or strip clubs for society’s problems,”Dickinson said. “Everyone deserves dignity and respect, regardless of their profession.”

He later added:

“Carmela is a genuinely kind person. People shouldn’t stereotype her or any woman. Character matters far more than occupation.”

The exchange resonated with viewers and reinforced Dickinson’s reputation as one of the industry’s strongest advocates for women.

Learning From the Past

Those closest to Dickinson say one of his greatest strengths is his willingness to own his past, much like fellow Tennessee resident country music star Morgan Wallen.

Rather than hiding from mistakes, he speaks openly about the lessons they’ve taught him and believes growth comes through accountability, humility, and a commitment to becoming better every day. It’s a philosophy he now passes on to the performers, managers, and leaders he mentors.

The Modern Cowboy

Away from the nightlife industry, Dickinson is a passionate supporter of the WNBA, reflecting his admiration for women who compete and lead at the highest level.

Friends and colleagues say the cowboy image isn’t a carefully crafted brand, it’s simply who he is. His Southern values are rooted in loyalty, respect, integrity, accountability, and opening doors for others.

Whether mentoring performers, promoting female leaders, defending entertainers on national platforms, or helping clubs achieve industry recognition, Dickinson has developed a leadership style centered on creating opportunities rather than seeking the spotlight.

As the Pony Clubs brand continues its national expansion, the success of the clubs, performers, and leaders surrounding Dickinson has become the clearest measure of his influence. His legacy isn’t defined by awards alone, but by the people whose careers have grown because someone believed in them, just as Jerry Westlund once believed in him.

Coming Soon

Dickinson’s growing media presence will continue with the launch of The Pony Podcast with Mike Dickinson, featuring conversations with entertainers, club operators, industry leaders, and special guests discussing branding, business, career development, and the future of the adult entertainment industry.

With another award season underway and momentum continuing to build, one thing has become increasingly clear: Mike Dickinson isn’t simply managing clubs, he’s helping develop the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of the industry.
