The performer and creator discusses her single ‘Pretty Little Psycho,’ her forthcoming memoir, Expressi, and a body of work shaped by resilience and self-direction.
CHICAGO — Brittany Taylor is the focus of a new EMMReport feature examining the performer, model, and creator’s work across music, advocacy, and entrepreneurship. The story traces the projects Taylor is building around her own experience. Her single ‘Pretty Little Psycho,’ a forthcoming memoir titled “The Autistic Woman: The Life of Brittany Taylor – Behind the Mask,” an album in development, and a public-facing commitment to neurodiversity awareness. The feature outlines how Taylor has turned a history of performance, loss, recovery, and self-reclamation into work that is increasingly forthright about the life behind the image. “I’m excited to get my song out there,” Taylor says of ‘Pretty Little Psycho,’ a release drawn from a long-over relationship and its aftermath.
The EMMReport feature also explores Taylor’s developing espresso-martini brand, Expressi, which she intends to connect in part with suicide awareness, and the possible reality project “Making It in LA,” her continued modeling work, and a memoir. Across these projects, Taylor’s message remains grounded in the difficulty and discipline behind a public career. “No matter what, people are going to call you crazy,” she says. “My family literally called me crazy for moving out to LA, and it’s going to take hard work, and it’s going to take struggle, but always fight for your dreams.”
