Chicago – Tiffany Chan is embracing transformation in her latest Tiffany’s Secret Diary article at LoveKipani.substack.com, Dark Romance Era Activated, where a simple attempt to save money on highlights spiraled into an unexpected reinvention—one that has left the popular content creator and educator feeling more like herself than ever before.
Chan shares the story of how a DIY hair experiment led her to ditch her blonde locks and embrace a striking shade of ‘spicy Ariel’ red. “I’ve never truly believed that hair color could be such a powerful thing,” she admits, reflecting on her past adventures with purple, pink, and rainbow hues. But when an attempt to refresh her highlights at home resulted in an unintended near-bleach-out, she took the opportunity to try something bold—letting her followers vote on whether she should go aquamarine or red. The verdict? Red won by a landslide.
Working with a cosmetologist to fine-tune the perfect shade before layering it with Arctic Fox’s “Wrath,” Chan fully committed to the transformation, and the result was a revelation. “I actually feel more like myself than I have in a very long time,” she writes. “Like it picked up my spirits and brightened up my entire personality!”
Chan, who regularly explores themes of self-expression and empowerment – both in her work and her personal life – reminds her readers that feeling at home in one’s own skin is just as important as any outward appearance.
“While I know some of my followers are less than pleased with it, I also feel it’s important to do things that make you feel the most at home in your own skin, too. After all, you are the one living in it… you should be able to adorn it however you wish!”
Alongside the article, Chan shares a full lookbook featuring her revamped style, complete with a white dress, boots, and corset—all of which can be shopped through her LTK store.
