Chicago – Princess Jezebel recently marched alongside an organizer-estimated 150,000 people at London Trans+ Pride 2026, joining a joyous but unmistakably political protest for trans rights under the theme “Our Future, Our Fight.”
Trans+ Pride strictly prohibits corporate sponsorship or representation, a distinction Jezebel believes protects it from the blatant pinkwashing she sees at the main London Pride parade. She also observed more young trans people than ever before, with attendees travelling from across England to experience the euphoria of tens of thousands of trans people gathered together.
“Trans Pride is joyous, but it is a protest, not a party – we are fighting for our rights,” said Jezebel. “There was a definite atmosphere of activism, but also the euphoria of being surrounded by tens of thousands of trans people who understood why we were there. It showed exactly why so many of us favour this grassroots movement over the main London Pride parade.”
Chants of “Trans rights are human rights” and “Stand up, fight back” carried through the march, while rights-driven speeches, British Sign Language interpreters and free water reflected its emphasis on accessibility and community care.
