Chicago— Independent photographer and creative Salacious Perceptions is celebrating a major career achievement after winning Best Still Photographer at the 2026 Urban X Awards.
“I was honestly shocked, grateful, and proud,” Salacious Perceptions said. “It’s been a long independent journey, so being recognized for something I’ve poured so much of myself into was an incredible feeling.”
For Salacious Perceptions, the honor represents both recognition of her work and validation of the creative path she has built.
“Professionally, it’s validation that staying consistent, growing, and trusting my own creative vision can take me further than I imagined,” she said.
