Season Record 52 –26 – 1
Thursday
Seattle over Denver – The Seahawks lost at home in a great seesaw game against the 49ers Sunday. They need to clean up some things on offense. The Broncos won on the road against the floundering Chargers. Denver too must correct some things going forward. I still think Seattle is the team to beat in the NFC. Seahawks 31 Broncos 27
Sunday
Houston @ Jacksonville – The Jags either won a close game or the Eagles blew it last week in London. Once again in London, the Jags take on a 1 – 4 division rival Texans team that won their first game last week against Tennessee. Jaguars 24 Houston 17
Chicago @ Atlanta – Both teams had setbacks last week. Atlanta lost and the Bears were destroyed. Caleb Williams may return this week for the Bears but if not, Case Keenum should start. The Tyson Bagent experiment needs to end. Despite their 2 – 3 record, Atlanta is a fun team to watch which means the Bears defense really needs to step up their game this week. If Williams starts for the Bears, they’ll win a close game. If not, the Falcons win by 10. Bears 34 Atlanta 31
Baltimore @ Cleveland – The Browns crapped the bed last week against the lowly Jets while the Ravens took care of business in Atlanta. They’ll take care of business again this week. Ravens 27 Browns 20
Tennessee @ Indianapolis – The Colts lost a road game to the Steelers while the Titans were blown out at home by the Texans. It’s going to be a long year for the Titans. Colts 31 Titans 17
New York Jets @ New England – The Patriots but a beating on the Raiders at home last week while to Jets beat the Browns. The Jets one-game winning streak comes to an end with a thud. Patriots 34 Jets 20
New York Giants @ New Orleans – The Giants tied the Commanders last week thanks in large part to Washington’s poor clock management while the Saints lost on the road to the Vikings. The Saints are starting to show a lot of problems on offense. Giants 27 Saints 20
Carolina @ Philadelphia – Carolina had the week off while the Eagles were in London losing to the Jags. Retirements, trades, and hard luck losses have put a lot of strain on the Eagles while the Panthers appear to be an up-and-coming team at times. Eagles 24 Carolina 20
Pittsburgh @ Tampa – Tampa finally got their first win with an upset over the Dallas Cowboys. If Tampa can play at that level consistently, they’ll do alright in the NFC South. Pittsburgh on the other hand has been anything but consistent. This game is a tossup. Tampa 27 Steelers 24
Arizona @ Los Angeles Rams – The Rams lost at home in a high-scoring affair against Buffalo which ended up costing the Rams kicker his job. NFL stand for Not for Long when you miss that many kicks. It’s going to be a long day for the hapless Cardinals. Rams 34 Cardinals 10
Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City – The Chargers had a chance to upset division rival Denver last week and came up short, so now they roll into KC sporting a 0 – 5 record wondering who is going to get fired first. KC is undefeated and coming off a bye week. Andy Reid’s teams don’t lose coming off bye weeks. Bye-bye, Chargers. Chiefs 34 Chargers 23
Buffalo @ Las Vegas – The only hope the Raiders have is that Buffalo wore themselves out playing the Rams Monday night. Bills 34 Raiders 20
Sunday Night
Dallas @ Green Bay – Dallas lost at home against the winless Buccaneers and Jerry Jones broke his glasses in discussed. Yeah, Dallas, that was embarrassing, but we’ve grown to expect that from an always hyped Cowboys team. Green Bay handed the Bears an old-fashioned butt kicking at home. Were both games a sign of things to come? Packers fans sure hope so. Green Bay 31 Dallas 23
Monday Night
Washington @ San Francisco – Don’t worry, Washington fans, your team will have no problem at all this week dealing with clock management. 49ers 34 Washington 17
