Chicago — Last week, Erotic Sky Magazine launched a special Juneteenth “Ebony Empress” edition for its seventh volume for the quarterly publication.

The release comes just after the magazine won the 2024 Alt Porn Award for best alternative magazine.

“We made an Ebony Edition to showcase the beautiful, intelligent, award-winning Ebony women in our industry because they deserved to be showcased to the world.” Magazine CEO Lyric Sky said. “Our industry doesn’t always make the best marketing decisions that represent Ebony women as they should be represented. Juneteenth has been historically celebrated in the black community well before it was made a holiday and we felt that the world should see these women being celebrated as well.”

With this special edition, the magazine aims to show that Ebony women are more than just a niche category in the industry.

This is the magazine’s first special edition and there will be even more in the future, said Salacious Perceptions, magazine cinematographer and creative director.

“I enjoyed shooting & creating this volume more than I can even express,” she said.

With each edition, the magazine continues to grow and gain support with the special “Ebony Empress,” or Volume 7, already becoming the best-selling edition to date despite only releasing last week, Sky said.

The magazine has been elevated by its recent award win, reaffirming its mission of providing a platform for a sensual erotic fetish for all types of women in the industry.

“It makes us feel like we are going in the right direction! Like I said before, to be recognized for the magazine is an award on its own,” Salacious Perceptions said.

Erotic Sky Magazine continues to make a magazine that represents all of the women in the adult entertainment industry, Sky said.

“The future is… bright. Grab some sunglasses. It’s about to get blinding.,” says the team.

Lyric Sky, the magazine and many of its empresses will be present at Exxxotica Expo Miami June 28-30.
