Chicago – It’s official! Inka Winter and ForPlay Films have been recognized with three AVN Award nominations for 2025, in honor of the studio’s authentic performances, storytelling and boundary-pushing approach to adult filmmaking.
The nominations include:
- Best Actor – Featurette: Nathan Bronson for Parkour XXX
- Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene: Nicole Kitt & Jonte for The Proposal
- Best Directing Portfolio – Narrative: Inka Winter
Winter’s work is well-known for creating spaces where talent feels empowered to collaborate, bringing their ideas, talents, and fantasies to life on screen, and she explains her nominated work further:
Winter crafted Parkour XXX to showcase Nathan Bronson’s incredible talents as a parkour artist. Collaborating with Bronson, the story follows a man who, determined to make it to his date on time, hurdles through the city, grabbing flowers and conquering obstacles along the way. The film’s feminist twist subverts traditional tropes by centering Bronson’s efforts to respect his partner’s time and intentions.
The Proposal captures real-life emotion and love, as Nicole Kitt and Jonte were a real-life couple at the time. After first meeting on Winter’s Ashford Manor production, the pair hit it off and later asked Winter to collaborate on Jonte’s real-life proposal to Nicole. The result is The Proposal, an emotionally charged scene that begins with an actual proposal and transitions into a passionate and authentic sexual encounter, all captured on film.
Winter’s Best Directing Portfolio nomination reflects her unique talent for crafting multidimensional stories, compelling characters and emotionally resonant performances that challenge conventional approaches to adult filmmaking. “My storytelling philosophy puts the narrative at the forefront, using sex as a vehicle to move the story forward, rather than building films solely to showcase sex,” said Winter.
