Thursday
Atlanta @ Tampa – Tampa has lost four of their last five games including last week’s loss to the Saints. Tied with Carolina, this game is obviously important if they want to have a shot at the playoffs. Atlanta is positioned to play the spoiler. Tampa 27 Atlanta 23
Sunday
Cleveland @ Chicago – The Bears had a chance to make a statement up in Green Bay last week, but they failed to show up in the first half. If it wasn’t for a few penalties and dropped balls by the Packers, that game should have been a Packers blowout. Cleveland’s record isn’t impressive, but the Bears are in no position to take them lightly. Chicago 20 Cleveland 17
Baltimore @ Cincinnati – The Bengals gave Buffalo a scare last week while the Ravens lost at home to division leading Pittsburgh. The Ravens haven’t been clicking all season, while the Bengals are obviously playing inspired football since the return of Joe Burrow. Bengals 31 Ravens 24
Arizona @ Houston – The Texans are coming of a solid win in KC as their defense continues to perform outstandingly. Arizona has lost their last five games and appear to be just playing out the string while the Texans are still breathing down the necks of Jacksonville in the AFC South. Houston 27 Arizona 10
NY Jets @ Jacksonville – The Jets are coming off a 34 – 10 butt kicking handed out by the Dolphins, while the Jags delivered a beating to the Colts in their 36 – 19 win. The Jags can’t overlook the Jets as the Texans are only a game back in the South. Jags 31 Jets 20
LA Chargers @ Kansas City – Most people have the Chiefs dead and buried, and they may be correct. But I have a feeling they still have one or two games left to win in the tank. The Chargers have won their last two games including a home win over the Eagles, but this is Arrowhead in December and Justin Herbert is dealing with a left hand in a cast. Looks like a dead cat bounce for the Chiefs. Chiefs 24 Chargers 20
Buffalo @ New England – Every season a team has one or two statement games. This is one of them for the Patriots. However, it finally appears the Bills are getting their act together as of late. Like the Chiefs, I think the Bills still have something left in the tank. Bills 31 Patriots 27
Washington @ NY Giants – I can still remember when this game meant something. Now it’s a battle for draft position. Giants 27 Washington 17
Las Vegas @ Philadelphia – Philly has lost their last three games. The Raiders arrive just in time for the Eagles to break their losing streak. Eagles 34 Raiders 15
Green Bay @ Denver – Both teams combine for a 14-game winning streak. This is another test for both teams, but Denver has played great to this point. Broncos 31 Packers 27
Detroit @ LA Rams – The Rams appear at this point to be the best team in the NFC. The Lions are one game back from the Packers and Bears in the NFC North, but something just isn’t clicking for the Lions. Rams 27 Lions 23
Carolina @ New Orleans – Carolina is tied with the Bucs in the South, but watching the Saints beat the Bucs, the Saints can’t be taken lightly. Panthers 27 Saints 18
Indianapolis @ Seattle – After a great start to the season, the Colts’ QB room looks like a MASH until. So, this week they decided to call American’s father, Philip Rivers, out of retirement. Good luck with that. The Seahawks are virtually tied with the Rams in the West and need to keep pace to have a shot at winning the division. Seattle 23 Colts 13
Tennessee @ San Francisco – The 49ers are another team that needs to keep pace to have a shot at the playoffs. The Titans are coming off a two-point road win last week against the Browns. 49ers 34 Titans 24
Minnesota @ Dallas – Dallas kissed their playoff hopes goodbye last week in their loss at Detroit, while the Vikings have struggled for most of the year. With the pressure off, I expect the Cowboys to roll the Vikings. Dallas 31 Minnesota 20
Monday Night
Miami @ Pittsburgh – The Dolphins have showed a few signs of life winning their last four games, while the Steelers continue to hold on to their slim lead in the AFC North with a road win at Baltimore. This game is almost a coin flip. Steelers 27 Dolphins 23
