Chicago – The curtain has lifted on the 2025 Doppio Senso Night Awards nominations, and a new auteur is claiming her place in the spotlight. Award-winning filmmaker and editor Claudia Ross has captivated voters with her sensuous, intoxicating directorial debut, The Hunger (Wicked Pictures), earning multiple nominations and leaving an indelible mark on this year’s field. In a season rich with daring storytelling and unapologetic vision, Ross’ maiden feature, paired with her sharp, delightfully subversive comedy Silver Linings (Elegant Angel/Adam & Eve), is poised to command attention when the evening’s most coveted honors are revealed.

With Emma Hix firmly featured in the lead, The Hunger cast a spell over voters, earning a duo of prestigious nominations, including Best International Star Showcase and Best International Screenplay for the legendary Axel Braun. A heady, hypnotic blend of sensuality and cinematic sophistication, the film’s accolades herald Claudia Ross as a daring new voice in the art of erotic storytelling. Not to be outdone, Silver Linings shimmered in the spotlight, claiming a nomination for Best International Comedy Movie — a testament to Ross’ versatility and her talent for weaving humor and desire into irresistibly watchable narratives.

Additionally, a trio of scenes created by Ross for Pink’O – The Bodyguards (Marika Milani, Isiah Maxwell and Romeo Major), The Realtor (Priscilla Salerno and Christian Clay), and May The Best Man Win! (Giulia Diamond, Isiah Maxwell and Donny Sins) received Best Scene (All Categories) nominations.

“It’s an extraordinary honor to be recognized by the Doppio Senso Night voters and to find myself in the company of so many gifted, fearless creators,” Ross shared. “I’m endlessly grateful to the studios who trusted me with these stories, the remarkable crews who gave their all on set, and the incredible performers whose talent and vulnerability made every frame shine. A very special thank you to Axel Braun — his belief in me over the years has meant the world, and his mentorship and friendship have helped shape my path as a filmmaker. These nominations belong to every person who brought their passion to these projects, and I’m humbled and thrilled to share this moment with them.”
