Minnesota @ Los Angeles Chargers – The Vikings moved the ball last week against the Eagles but still lost. The Vikings are a rollercoaster team. The Chargers continue to struggle after their 3 – 0 start getting destroyed last week by the Colts. The Chargers must turn this into an old-fashioned smash mouth game, but are they capable of doing so, that’s the question. Vikings 24 Chargers 20
Sunday
Miami @ Atlanta – After their performance against the Browns last week, I’m not sure the Dolphins could beat a Pop Warner team at this point. After beating the Bills the previous week, the Falcons failed to show up last week in their 10-point loss to the 49ers. At least Atlanta still appears to be interested in playing football. I can’t say the same for the Dolphins. Atlanta 27 Miami 20
Chicago @ Baltimore – As I write this, Lamar Jackson may or may not play against the Bears on Sunday. Roquan Smith does appear to be ready to take the field against the Bears which should help a much-maligned defense. The Bears have one of the longest winning streaks in the NFL at four games after their less-than-stellar performance against the Saints Sunday. Chicago 24 Baltimore 23
Buffalo @ Carolina – The Bills are struggling on both sides of the ball while the Panthers are on a 3-game winning streak. If the Bills lose this game, it’s time to press the panic button. Bills 27 Panthers 23
NY Jets @ Cincinnati – The Jets may not win a game this season. Joe Flacco played good enough to help his team beat the Steelers and revive hope in the Bengals fan base. Bengals 31 Jets 20
San Francisco – Houston – The 49ers are 5 – 2 and as long as Christian McCaffrey stays healthy, they have a shot at winning a lot of games. After a solid season last year, Houston hobbles into this game at 2 – 4. 49ers 30 Houston 23
Cleveland @ New England – The Browns appeared to be having fun last week blowing the doors off the Dolphins, but things will be markedly different as they travel to New England to take on the 5 – 2 Patriots. Mike Vrabel has the Patriots on a four-game winning streak and leading the AFC East after their victory over the Titans. Patriots 27 Browns 17
NY Giants @ Philadelphia – People want to blame the Giants kicker for costing them that wild game in Denver last week, but they shouldn’t forget that the Giants gave up 33 POINTS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER! The Eagles offense performed well against the Vikings last week along with the defense which should be encouraging for Eagles fans. In their first meeting this season the Giants won 34 – 17 in New York. I expect the same score this week only this time the Eagles come out on top. Eagles 34 Giants 17
Tampa @ New Orleans – Mike Evans is out for a couple of months due to an injury in last weeks loss to the Lions, but Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Buccaneers should have enough to take down the Saints. Bucs 31 Saints 24
Tennessee @ Indianapolis – The Colts are the hottest team going currently which doesn’t bowed well for the 1 – 6 Titans. Colts 34 Titans 20
Green Bay @ Pittsburgh – The Packers struggled with the Cardinals but snuck out of Arizona with a win while the Steelers lost on the road against Joe Flacco and the Bengals. And here comes the Aaron Rodgers revenge hype for this game. I have a feeling Micah Parsons will be using Aaron’s head as a seat cushion for most of the game. Packers 34 Steelers 23
Monday Night
Washington @ Kansas City – The Chiefs are starting to get their act together after some early struggles. That’s really bad news for a Washington team that is showing signs of collapse. Chiefs 27 Washington 17
