Chicago – ForPlay Films founder and award-winning director Inka Winter is set to make her mark in the forthcoming book Sex Work Today: Erotic Labor in the Twenty-First Century, with the release date slated for November 19.

Winter co-authored the chapter titled “Holistic Pornography” alongside Kelsey Burke, author of Pornography Wars in this comprehensive volume, published by NYU Press, which explores the evolving landscape of sex work – touching on topics from digital sex to feminist porn and beyond.

Winter’s chapter, Holistic Pornography, delves into her unique approach to ethical and inclusive adult filmmaking. “I’m honored to contribute to this important body of work alongside Kelsey Burke. Our chapter emphasizes the role of pornography as a tool for sexual wellness, fostering both personal agency and emotional healing in the modern era,” says Winter.

Edited by Bernadette Barton, Barbara G. Brents and Angela Jones, Sex Work Today: Erotic Labor in the Twenty-First Century features contributions from a wide array of sex workers, advocates and researchers, offering fresh perspectives on contemporary issues like the digitalization of sex work, transmasculine and nonbinary experiences and racial dynamics in the industry.

Sex Work Today: Erotic Labor in the Twenty-First Century is currently available for pre-order on quality retail platforms such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
